About Rocky Mountain Trails

Hi, I’m Sean — the person behind Rocky Mountain Trails.

I'm a certified 4 season hiking guide who's spent many years hiking throughout the Canadian Rockies, not chasing extremes but walking full trails, end to end, paying attention to how they actually feel on the ground. Over time, I realized that a lot of trail information online skips the most important part: what it’s really like to hike a trail step by step.

Rocky Mountain Trails started as a way to document hikes clearly and honestly — showing the entire route from trailhead to finish, at a realistic pace, without hype or pressure. The goal is simple: help people understand a trail before they go, so they can hike with more confidence and fewer surprises.

Most of my work now lives on YouTube, where I create detailed trail videos made specifically for hikers who value preparation over panic, enjoy scenery over speed, and prefer calm experiences over adrenaline.

Rocky Mountain Trails is intentionally small and independent. It reflects how I hike and how I believe the mountains should be experienced — unrushed, respectful, and approachable. Whether you’re planning your next hike or simply want to explore the Rockies from home, you’re welcome here.
